We at Overwatch Aerospace Ltd are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. Our Code of Ethics reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
We design and manufacture unmanned aerial vehicle technologies. We are a part of the Overwatch group of companies (the Overwatch Group), and our ultimate parent company is Overwerx Ltd that has its head office in the United Kingdom. The Overwatch Group has less than 50 employees and operates in the United Kingdom.
Our product supply chain is not complex, is technology focussed and primarily located within the UK, EU and US, but with some targeted COTS product suppliers based in other territories.
Whilst the global supply chain in high-tech industries may not be considered to be at highest risk of modern slavery, we understand that this is not a reason to be complacent, particularly where suppliers (and their supply chains) are located in territories generally considered to be at the higher end of the modern slavery risk spectrum. We also recognise that there is a close association between modern slavery and the extraction of conflict minerals that can find their way into the industrial supply chain at lower tiers, such as 3TG in electronics components. Our strategy to source from trusted UK suppliers wherever viable is a core measure to minimising exposure to modern slavery risk.
In 2022 the business experienced a pulse of growth, leading to a dynamic scaling-up of our supply chain. During this phase our supplier on-boarding due diligence has necessarily been focussed on areas such as quality assurance of product.
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we expect our first-tier suppliers to agree to comply with our Code of Ethics or an equivalent code.
As our business matures, we shall implement enhanced supplier on-boarding procedures and raise the understanding and awareness of our staff to modern slavery.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It was approved by the board on 30 May 2023.
